Client: Professional Development

My Role: Instructional Designer & eLearning Developer

Collaborators: Subject Matter Expert

Project Description: This course was created for an industrial client as part of the OSHA required plan to implement cohesive Lockout Procedures procedures in the workplace to reduce worksite injuries.

Challenge: Due to having several new hire employees as well as many on-site contractors the client wanted to ensure that all employees as well as on-site contractors were able to perform the company implemented lockout procedures properly to ensure OSHA safety guidelines are met.

Solution: After discussing the client's needs I determined that an eLearning course would be the best fit to ensure new hires or on-site contractors had access to this course as needed. It was determined that asynchronous, self-paced learning was the proper solutions to save time and resources. I designed and developed this course to improve awareness of proper procedures for implementing the company lockout procedure.

A job aid is included as a resource for this lesson.

Results: Success for this training would be measured by tracking the number of lockouts completed correctly versus incorrectly by learners after completing the course. Ideal implementation would ensure there were zero on-site injuries causes by incomplete lockout procedures.
